1950 Topps Felt Backs Redskins Team Set

This is Topps’s first major football release.  While a college issue, it includes several pro football players.  This is a set only a mother can love.  I would have enjoyed being in the design meeting where everyone agreed to produce tiny cards with felt on the back. I am not sure what they were trying to achieve.

The two Redskins football cards are shown below. As usual, a Redskin is one of the toughest cards in the set.  The Charlie Justice card is extremely rare in any condition.  This is an incredibly difficult set to find in good condition.  In fact, this is the only PSA-7 Justice with one card graded higher and there are three PSA-7 Ulinski’s with one card graded higher.
